📡 On my Radar
Young people today aren't opening bank accounts — they're downloading Coinbase and Robinhood to trade crypto.
The appeal is simple: Traditional banks charge high fees on low balances while crypto offers accessibility and potential growth. For the unbanked, young, and elderly, even modest crypto gains create financial empowerment that traditional banking never provided.
This past election cycle progressives largely dismissed crypto as illegitimate, and an unimportant way of generating wealth - ignoring that millions of Americans particularly young people of color in swing states - were actively engaged in the crypto economy.
Contrast this with Republican messaging that, whatever its flaws, at least acknowledged the legitimacy of crypto as an asset class. This messaging helped them win the presidential election.
Crypto isn’t going anywhere. It’s a legitimate and groundbreaking way to build wealth especially for the disenfranchised … and it is only going to grow. Time to get on board.
